Redispersible Polymer Powder

Redispersible polymer powder (RDP) is made by spray-drying a polymer emulsion. When water is added, the powder disperses again. As the mortar dries, the polymer forms a film that helps bind the material together.

Main Functions

• Improves adhesion between mortar and the surface it is applied to.
• Improves flexibility and helps reduce cracking caused by shrinkage or small movements.
• Makes mortar easier to spread and apply.
• Helps improve water resistance and abrasion resistance.

Uses

Tile adhesives, insulation mortars, plastering mortars, repair mortars, wall putties and other cement-based or gypsum-based dry-mix products.
