Hydroxypropyl Starch Ether

Hydroxypropyl starch ether (HPS) is made from modified starch. It is used to adjust how mortar and putty behave during mixing and application.

Main Functions

• Increases consistency and helps mortar stay in place on vertical surfaces.
• Helps reduce wall-tile slipping during installation.
• Makes mortar and putty easier to spread and trowel.
• Helps keep the mix uniform by reducing separation and settling.
