Polyvinyl Alcohol 2488

Polyvinyl alcohol 2488 (PVA 2488) is a water-soluble polymer. It binds particles together and forms a film as the material dries.

Main Functions

• Improves adhesion in mortar and adhesive formulations.
• Helps bind the fine particles in wall putty and reduce surface dusting.
• Forms a film that helps improve surface strength and abrasion resistance.

Uses

Dry-mix mortars, tile adhesives, wall putties, water-based adhesives, coatings, textile sizing and paper additives. It is also used as a protective colloid to help stabilize emulsions in RDP production.
