How it works
Calcium formate is an additive for cement-based materials. It accelerates the reaction between cement and water, helping the material set, harden and develop early strength sooner.
In tile adhesive, it is also used to improve early bonding strength. The dosage should take account of the working time needed for application.
Where it is used
Common uses include tile adhesives, plaster and masonry mortars, repair mortars, grouts and precast concrete products.
